Team update: Wishing Lindsey and Guy a fond farewell as they leave Logic and embark on their retirement
After 10 incredible years, Lindsey and Guy retired late last year.
Lindsey worked alongside Harj to build the business from scratch and we wouldn’t be where we are today without her input.
A Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and Later Life Accredited Adviser, having helped hundreds of clients achieve their retirement dreams, Lindsey is very much looking forward to some well-deserved rest and relaxation, with a spot of golf on the side.
Meanwhile, Lindsey’s husband, Guy Woodward is stepping away from his role as our director and marketing guru. Having helped us grow through excellent marketing strategies, we will greatly miss his keen eye for detail. Rest assured that Guy has taught us well and all Logic communications will continue to be jargon-free, informative, and entertaining.
Before waving them off into the sunset, we opened a bottle of the very best champagne to toast their new chapter and asked them “what’s next?”…
After 10 fantastic years building Logic Financial Services, how are you looking forward to spending your time?
Guy: Those who have gone before me are split into two camps: people who prefer Bargain Hunt v those who favour Cash in the Attic. I plan on spending copious amounts of time researching which is the best.
Lindsey: I’m planning to sleep a lot for the first few months, the last 10 years have been pretty hectic! But I’m also looking forward to more of the simple things I love to do – yoga, Pilates, dog walking, and gardening
Do you have any plans in place to start ticking things off your bucket list?
Guy: Having accepted my ambition to become a LinkedIn influencer will now never come to fruition, it’s time to focus on discovering new dog walks. Particularly those ending up at pubs.
Lindsey: I’m going to the Ryder Cup in New York next September, which is one of the (many) bucket list items. I will probably be the one shouting “get in the hole” at every opportunity!
What will you miss most about life at Logic?
Guy: The biscuits. Definitely the biscuits. I never did get to the bottom of who ordered them but whoever it was deserves a rise.
Lindsey: It’s always the people. Colleagues and clients alike have provided most of the fun in the last 10 years.
And I will definitely not miss FCA returns!
Favourite memorable moment or career highlight that you’re most proud of?
Guy: Winning the inaugural Logic Pottery world cup. Retiring undefeated tops all other career accomplishments. As I told the rest of the team on the night, “Pottery Champion, you’ll never sing that”.
Lindsey: Making the decision to set up Logic has been the highlight of my career and is something to be very proud of.
Also googling kebab shops near Luton Hoo at 2 am on one of our team development days was a particularly fond memory 😊
Anything you wish to add?
Guy: Many thanks to all the Logic team (past and present!) and to the lovely clients, particularly those who were with us from the start. Best of luck for the future and it’ll be fascinating to see the progress the team makes in the coming years.
Lindsey: I echo Guy’s thanks to the team, especially for stepping up when I was ill over the summer.
And to all the clients that have supported us over the years, not just coming to us for advice but for referring us again and again.
We couldn’t have made Logic into the success it is without you.
